My own slice of luxury: The Marinus, Isle of Wight

Father of two and property developer John Absolom, 47, from Leatherhead, has just become the proud owner of one of the Charles Church developed Marinus two-bedroom apartments on the Isle of Wight Hopping on to your own boat with the family and speeding off across the sea to your holiday home by the sea all seems very Cannes, but this is Cowes in the Isle of Wight, and one very proud new owner of a luxury holiday apartment.

Father of two and property developer John Absolom, 47, from Leatherhead, has just become the proud owner of one of the Charles Church developed Marinus two-bedroom apartments on the Isle of Wight, a property he describes as having the wow factor.

Having had a second property by the coast before in Swanage, Dorset John realised the outstanding potential his new property would have in comparison, so the draw was easy!

“I’d visited the Isle of Wight numerous times in the past, and combined with my love for the water, it was always a place I enjoyed visiting. I saw the advert for the Marinus months ago and thought wow, spectacular. I don’t think there’s anything else like this around,” John said.

“The place in Swanage was fine, but I had to drive for 20 minutes to get the boat I had at the time and it became a bit of a pain after a while.

“It’s far easier now because I’m literally right on the sea front with mooring space for my 18-metre rib. Plus there’re no locks because it’s just the open ocean – absolutely excellent,” he added.

John, who has two children, Daniel 15 and Rosie 13 along with wife Elizabeth, is now looking forward to spending as much time as possible making use of his new property.

“It’s a location which is so easy to reach in a short period of time. Ideal for me and the family at any time. I’m so happy,” he said.

“The service we’ve had has been brilliant, obviously I know about this type of thing from my own career and what I have experience in, but it was first class,” he concluded.
