Contemporary new properties - close to the ‘Queen Vic’!

20th July 2007 Print
Eight reservations have already been taken on houses at Hawthorn Meadows, Barratt Homes’ beautiful new development in Whippingham on the Isle of Wight. “It’s not hard to see why the development is proving popular. It really does enjoy a fabulous location on land that was previously farmland,” said Kathie Smith, Barratt Homes sales negotiator.

“It’s only a five-minute walk to Osborne House, Queen Victoria’s summer home, and you can see the local church in the distance, which the locals refer to affectionately as the ‘Queen Vic’.”

Although still in the early stages of construction, the development will eventually offer 550 new homes. These will range from one and two-bedroom apartments to three and four-bedroom terraced, semi and detached houses.

Kathie continued: “Hawthorn Meadows has been designed to attract a wide variety of buyers, from first time buyers, families and people looking for holiday homes.

“There’s a school and football field close by and water enthusiasts will be pleased to know we’re just two minutes from the River Medina and only 10 minutes from the sea.”

The village of Whippingham is situated approximately two kilometers south of Cowes, which lies to the north of the island. This proximity to Cowes will give the residents of Hawthorn Meadows easy access to The Solent, an area renowned for good sailing.

Prices at Hawthorn Meadows start from £139,995 for a one-bedroom apartment and £151,995 for a two-bedroom apartment.
