Barratt offers hassle-free move to waterside development Increasing demand from buyers who want the ease of part exchanging to a larger home has prompted Barratt to host a dedicated weekend at its Isle of Wight developments in Cowes and East Cowes.

Part exchange experts will be at Nautiqua in Mornington Road, Cowes and Hawthorn Meadows in East Cowes on April 19/20 to give potential buyers an insight into how they can use the Barratt scheme for a swift and hassle-free move to a new home.

The part exchange option includes a guaranteed fixed price offer on a buyer's current home within 48 hours and ensures a stress free move, without agency fees and any of the worry of dealing with viewers or unstable chains.

Barratt sales director Catherine Ferguson said the aim is to make buying a Barratt home as easy as possible.

"Part exchange means that once you have decided on which fantastic new home you would like, Barratt is then effectively a cash buyer for your current home, cutting out the incredible stress and uncertainty of being part of a chain," she commented.

"It really is an efficient way to trade up the property ladder to a more sizeable home."

At Nautiqua, Barratt is creating an exclusive collection of contemporary two-bedroom apartments and deluxe four-bedroom houses overlooking the Solent.

"This ultra modern development has been designed to appeal to professional couples, families and people looking for a luxury holiday home in a fabulous setting," Catherine said.

The properties are set in private grounds and the communal spaces will be maintained by an island management company.

Homes currently for part exchange include four bedroom townhouses priced from £695,000 and a luxurious four-bedroom detached house priced at £1,350,000.

Opened earlier this year, Hawthorn Meadows has five showhomes, several ideal for those looking to move up the housing ladder.

The Merstone is a three-bedroom terraced house with kitchen/dining room, lounge, downstairs cloakroom and garage. The Kingston, a three storey three bedroom townhouse, has a large kitchen/family room, separate study/fourth bedroom and a downstairs cloakroom. Ideal for families, the larger Cowes is a three-storey townhouse with three bedrooms, downstairs cloakroom, family/dining room, formal living area/extra bedroom, garage and garden.

Hawthorn Meadows enjoys a rural setting and the locality has strong links with royalty. It is only a five-minute walk to Osborne House, Queen Victoria's summer home, and to the church she frequented, which the locals refer to affectionately as the ‘Queen Vic'.
