Chris Beardshaw - TV gardener The thought of creating a garden from scratch is a thorny issue for many new home owners. So developer Redrow Homes is nipping the problem in the bud at its Forest Rise development in Nailsworth.

TV gardener Chris Beardshaw will be ‘flying in’ to officially launch the stunning new Malham show home at the development and offer his green fingered advice to customers.

The top horticulturalist will sketch designs for the garden of one of the homes at the Nympsfield Road development, then provide tips to budding gardeners on Saturday, April 14th, between 12.30pm and 5pm.

Katrina Shore, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South West) said: “It can be quite a daunting prospect for new home buyers to create a garden from scratch.

“A new garden offers lots of opportunities because it is like a blank canvas. But you can’t beat some top advice from an expert like Chris to create a blooming marvellous design.

“He can talk about everything from soil varieties to the best type of plants and shrubs to complement the homes on offer.”

Author and lecturer Chris has appeared on numerous gardening programmes on TV in addition to running a thriving garden design business.

A native of Gloucestershire, Chris was made an honorary fellow at Gloucester University in 2004 and teaches regularly at the faculty.

In addition to meeting Chris, homebuyers can visit the three-bedroom, three-storey Malham show home, which has been professionally designed, decorated and furnished to display contemporary living at its best.

A Malham similar to the show home is currently priced at £215,995 and comes with an integral garage. Other properties available include the three-bedroom Lambourne, at £217,000 and the four-bedroom Lea, at £245,000.

Join Redrow and the Chris Beardshaw on Saturday, 14th April.
