Barratt customer races for charity

After recently purchasing his second Barratt property the company has become familiar with Steve and the sporting activities he participates in, so much so that this time they have decided to sponsor him on his journey.
Steve, who recently completed the Blenheim Triathlon said, “I have known of Barratt Homes for some time now and the staff there have been nothing but keen support me. I have been extremely impressed with the service I received throughout the buying process and am very pleased with the quality of the properties I’ve bought. Plus it’s been great that they have taken such an interest in what I do.
“I am looking forward to the challenge and hope to make new friends and see new places along the way, while raising money for Cancer Research.”
The journey from one end the country to the other begins on the 20th July and will last for two weeks. Steve and his co-cyclist Matthew Cotton will travel nearly 1000 miles in total.
Chris Ashmore, Sales Director for Barratt Merica said: “We are always keen to get involved with local communities wherever we build, so when the opportunity came along to support a customer we wanted to do everything we can to help.”
Steve owns two Barratt properties, one on the Aquarius development in Witney and a second at Cherry Orchard in Mickleton. Having grown up in Witney, Steve chose to buy in his home town. He lives a four-bedroom townhouse at Aquarius, which is situated along the pretty Windrush River, in the middle of town and overlooking nearby meadow land, plus all the town’s facilities are just a moment’s walk away.
Steve said, “Witney is a delightful town on the edge of the Cotswolds and I was very keen to remain living here, particularly since the nearby countryside provides the perfect place for me to train, with a series of fields and trains through which I can run and cycle.
“I rent out my second property at the Cherry Orchard development, which is in a lovely village location in the sought after area of Mickleton. I’m confident that my investment will see some capital growth due to its high quality build, excellent design and desirable location.”
Cherry Orchard is located in the village of Mickleton, Gloucestershire. It is surrounded by beautiful Cotswold countryside and has an exclusive profile in a sought after location. It offers a selection of three- and four-bedroom homes, starting from £261,995.
