Final few homes at Riverside

A streetscene at The Wharf Just nine homes remain for sale at Riverside, part of Persimmon Homes’ popular The Wharf development in Stroud. The development, which enjoys a unique waterside location nestled between the River Frome and Stroudwater canal, has proved a hit with househunters, keen to be part of this exciting new community.

“Riverside follows the sell out success of Waters Edge, the first phase of homes at The Wharf which sold out last year,” commented David Wild, sales director for Persimmon Homes Severn Valley. “The development forms part of an innovative regeneration scheme which over the next few years will revive and restore this attractive and historic conservation site, just minutes from Stroud town centre.

“Combining the tranquillity of a waterside location alongside the benefits of living close to the heart of a thriving Wiltshire community, has made The Wharf the first choice of house hunters ranging from first time buyers to growing families. The final nine properties here continue to offer a diverse selection of homes which we hope will complete the creation of this exciting new community.”

The remaining properties at Riverside range from a one bedroom coachhouse through to executive four and five bedroom homes in a choice of two and three storey designs. Enabling house hunters to envisage life at Riverside, a delightful four bedroom Sussex show home is open daily alongside the marketing suite where Persimmon’s expert sales advisers are on hand to provide further information and advice on purchaser options such as part exchange.

Situated off the Westward Road in the Ebley area of Stroud, The Wharf consists of three key areas; Waters Edge, Riverside and the final phase, Central Square which is expected to be launched later this year. Alongside the creation of a variety of new residential homes, The Wharf will also create a new public square including retail, leisure and community facilities, an area of public parkland plus the restoration of the Stroudwater canal including a bridge across the canal, new footpaths and cycle routes.

Stroud itself is a vibrant and diverse town offering a choice of high street outlets and independent stores alongside a range of creative crafts and produce. The town’s beautiful Stratford Park includes an extensive leisure centre whilst walkers, horse riders and cyclists are spoilt for choice by the surrounding countryside. Stroud offers a good selection of local school plus Stroud College and offers easy access to the M5, ideal for commuters to Cheltenham, Bath, Swindon, Bristol and Birmingham.

Prices for the remaining homes at Riverside currently start from £170,000 for a one bedroom coach house and £345,000 for a four bedroom Woodchester property, now available as a Home of the Week with 3% stamp duty paid.

For further information please visit or contact the sales team at the show home located on Bridge Mead in Stroud and open daily from 10:00am until 5:00pm.
