Revolutionary technology set to aid ‘off-plan’ buyers

The console, developed by Synchronik, is available for homehunters to use in the new marketing suite at Cheswick, where Redrow’s experienced sales consultants can guide them every step of the way.
Sandra Hughes, sales manager for Redrow Homes (South West), said: “This fantastic piece of equipment is a very useful tool in helping people buying off-plan to envisage exactly what the finished development will look like.
“It has the facility to search for individual house or apartment types, plots and floor-plans, prices and availability. Using the latest 42” LCD touch screen technology, the programme can also guide viewers through a virtual tour of the properties as well as trying out options and additional extras long before construction is complete. Buyers can literally take a virtual walk around their new home before deciding to buy.”
And for those with a real taste for the high-tech, the facility even utilises up-to-the-minute Bluetooth technology to enable customers to download high-resolution images such as floor-plans and specifications to their mobile phone. They can also put all the details of interest to them into a virtual ‘shopping basket’ and then email details direct to their home or office for future reference.
There is also a map resource with a guide to local points of interest so potential buyers can explore where their nearest amenities can be found such as school, supermarkets and leisure facilities.
Earlier this year Redrow launched Tallsticks, the first phase of new ‘greener’ homes within the new urban village of Cheswick.
Set in leafy surroundings close to Bristol city centre, Redrow’s ‘village of choice’- Cheswick, in Filton, will create an entire community of environmentally-friendly homes, which go above and beyond the current building standards for sustainability.
Tallsticks will be the first of several smaller ‘villages’ being built by Redrow, which together will create the new larger community of Cheswick, complete with shops, places to eat and all the local amenities of an established residential neighbourhood.
The contemporary apartments, terraced homes, detached properties and three-storey villas of Tallsticks are all designed to achieve level three of the new Code for Sustainable Homes – two years ahead of targets set by Government.
The first properties are on sale now, with prices from £164,995 for a one-bedroom apartment, from £196,995 for a two-bedroom apartment, from £260,995 for a three-bedroom house and from £336,995 for a four-bedroom house. The new homes will be ready to move into later this year. The whole development will be phased over a number of years.
Sandra added: “Cheswick will be a sustainable and practical place to live, work and play. Redrow is proud to be playing its part to help reduce carbon emissions and help homebuyers who want to live in a more sustainable community.”
