Government agency confirms development’s low flood risk

The developer, recently named National Housebuilder of the Year for the second consecutive year, has received official data to prove its Meadows scheme, located on Bredon Road, is built on land considered to have the lowest risk of flooding by the Government agency.
Rex Thomas, development control engineer at the local Tewkesbury branch of the Environment Agency, said: "In an endeavour to assess flood risk accurately the Government published the Policy Planning Statement 25 (PPS 25) following last year's floods which categorises land into three zones.
"Zone one has the lowest probability of flooding, zone two is considered a medium risk and land in zone three is considered most likely to flood. While floodplains are continually changing because of climate change the Environment Agency can confirm that the Meadows currently lies in zone one".
Miller Homes sales director, Linda Androlia, added: "The information confirms what we already knew but it's of the utmost important that residents feel safe and have confidence in their homes. This in no way detracts from the unfortunate problems which were caused by the floods last year and we offer our heartfelt condolences to those who suffered.
"However, I hope that by having a third party verify that our development is built on land which has the lowest probability of flooding, potential home owners can have their minds put at ease that the development is not built on a flood plain. Instead, we hope this evidence will enable them to focus on the quality of our builds and the high level of customer care which has made us Housebuilder of the Year for the second year in a row".
The Meadows boasts 102 properties in all, with a range of three and four bedroom detached and semi detached homes available in the current release.
The close proximity to Tewkesbury town centre and quality schools means the development is ideal for families and downsizers alike. The Meadows also benefits from fast, easy access to the M5, M50 and A38, making it a convenient commuter base for Worcester, Cheltenham and Gloucester. There is also a bus link between Tewkesbury and the local train station at Ashchurch, less than two miles away.
There is currently a range of three bedroom homes available from £234,950, as well as four bedroom homes with prices from £325,950. Five bedroom properties start from £394,950.
