Renting isn’t the only option in Gloucester

16th July 2008 Print
Renting isn’t the only option in Gloucester Renting a home isn't the only option for people who think they are unable to take a step on - or up - the property ladder in the current market. Charles Church's shared equity scheme is currently offered on selected apartments at their Marketplace development in Gloucester, and offers a helping hand to those who think they can't buy a new home.

The Marketplace in Gloucester is a collection of one, two and three bedroom apartments, complete with parking, built to the exacting standards so familiar to the Charles Church brand. All of the apartments benefit from excellent specification and with Charles Church's shared equity scheme, FairShare, purchasers can enjoy the benefits of living in one of these superior apartments without the worry of souring rental costs.

The FairShare scheme means selected plots at The Marketplace can be purchased at 75 per cent of the value, and Charles Church will pay the remaining 25 per cent with no rent or interest on the difference. The purchaser then owns the property in its entirety - they simply pay Charles Church back when they sell, or within 10 years. There is also an opportunity of a mortgage subsidy* over a two year period at the development.

Ideal for first time buyers, the apartments at The Marketplace are aspirational and benefit from excellent nearby amenities. Gloucester is a bustling city full of bars and restaurants that cater for a range of tastes. Residents will also benefit from the vast array of shops which includes popular high street names. The city is also excellently accessible via the M5 motorway and due to the city centre location of the development, commuters will benefit from Gloucester train station which is only a stones throw away.

The Marketplace currently features plot-of-the-month The Hereford (plot 11) and with FairShare, purchasers will pay just £89,996. This delightful home comes complete with fitted carpets, five per cent deposit paid, £500 towards legal fees and stamp duty paid. All subject to conditions.

For further information, visit the show apartment and marketing suite, open daily between 10.30am and 5pm. Alternatively, visit Charleschurch.com.
