Persimmon reports success in Gloucester Despite ongoing reports of a national slow down in the current UK housing market, Persimmon Homes South Midlands has received an increase of 50 per cent of first time buyers reserving at its Kingsway development in Gloucester.

“We’ve found an unfaltering need for choice new homes in Gloucester among a wide variety of purchaser groups and our prices mean that first time buyers returning to the market are able to comfortably afford our new homes,” comments Alison Reading, sales director for Persimmon Homes South Midlands. “Our second phase offers the similar range of three bedroom homes as the first phase did, but also a number of two through to five bedroom properties.”

Due to the wide selection of homes on offer, Kingsway is the ideal place to call home for first time buyers, couples, commuters, families and those looking to downsize, so much so that the company has seen 11 reservations in the last three months.

Prices at the development start from £120,750 for a three bedroom property through the company’s commitment to the Government-led 70 per cent shared equity HomeBuy Direct scheme.

Alison concludes: “The combination of competitively priced homes and the availability of tailored home moving incentives has resulted in the success we’ve witnessed at Kingsway and we’re looking forward to welcoming more first time buyers to our beautiful development.

Further details on the HomeBuy Direct scheme can be found at Persimmonhomes.com.

Located on the southern boundary of Gloucester, Kingsway is just a short drive from the city centre and the M5, for easy access to Bristol to the south and Cheltenham, Worcester and Birmingham to the north.

Persimmon is not only building new homes but as part of the consortium an entire new community is being developed too. Kingsway Village already boasts a new school, and future developments will include community centre, health and sport facilities including a cricket square, a pavilion and tennis courts, as well as shops, play areas and parkland.

With easy access to Gloucester city centre and its excellent amenities, the development offers modern living in an exciting new destination. Gloucester is an excellent location with a good road network enabling residents to enjoy semi rural life with access to nearby towns and cities.
