Persimmon shows off in Gloucester

Persimmon shows off in Gloucester When creating a brand new housing development, homebuilders will invariably dress a showhome to give would-be purchasers an idea of how their homes will look when finished, but unlike Persimmon Homes South Midlands, not many developers can boast a handful of showhomes at one development.

The company has created three stunning show areas at The Marketplace in Gloucester, the four bedroom family Chichester design, the three/four bedroom Crescent townhouse and the Denbeigh housetype.

Alison Reading explains why the developer has chosen to create a number of showhomes: “At The Marketplace we’re offering a range of properties to suite a wide variety of purchaser groups. When visiting our development we want househunters to have the advantage of looking at a similar property to the one they’re interested in, to give them a true reflection of how their home will look when furnished. We also hope to give them some interior design inspiration along the way!”

The three showhomes have been styled in three differing designs, aimed to suit all tastes and requirements. The beautiful Chichester housetype incorporates a striking colour scheme of hot reds off set with smooth creams. The Crescent housetype offers a bolder look with monochrome black and white, while the Denbeigh hosts cool blues with accepts of taupe.

Prices at The Marketplace start from £187,995 for a three bedroom end terraced design and with the company’s commitment to the Government-led 70 per cent shared equity HomeBuy Direct scheme, purchasers could pay as little as £131,597 for a new bedroom home.

The company has found instant success with the HomeBuy Direct scheme at The Marketplace, as the recent open weekend saw queues of interested househunters at the development with three homes reserved on the day, and a further two properties reserved at Persimmon’s alternative Gloucester sites, Kingsway and The Maples, demonstrating the attractiveness and affordability of the initiative.

Alison concludes: “if you’re looking for some style tips for your own home, or are on the hunt for a brand new property, I’d recommend you visit The Marketplace and speak to our expert sales advisers about how we can assist you.”

The Marketplace is located off St Oswald’s Road, just a short walk from the centre of Gloucester. When complete the development will feature a total of 450 properties, ranging from one and two bedroom apartments to two, three and four bedroom homes, available in a variety of styles, from townhouses to traditional family homes.

As well as excellent new housing, residents of The Marketplace will enjoy a whole host of superb local facilities from a large retail and leisure complex to an improved infrastructure network and the vicinity of city centre bars and restaurants.
