Bloor Homes opens Dursley development If you want a contemporary new home in an area steeped in ancient reminders of the past, you’ll be delighted to hear that Bloor Homes is to launch its exciting new development in Dursley, Gloucestershire, next month.

While the site is not officially open until Saturday 29 August, there will be an opportunity for you to have a sneak preview on Saturday 15 August.

The first homes to be released at the development – called Littlecombe – to become available are a range of 3- and 5-bedroom properties, with prices starting from a very appealing £199,950. Each one has an Eco Rating of ‘very good’ which means you can help protect the environment while saving on your fuels bills thanks to their high levels of insulation and broad range of features to minimize ecological impact, including highly efficient A-rated boilers.

The 5-bedroom homes also feature a ‘solar room’ – a lovely sunny space in which people can relax and enjoy the views over their gardens but which also contributes to the overall heating of the house. The solar room captures the heat from the sun which is circulated around the house via a Mechanical Ventilation and Heat Recovery system to provide extra warmth at no cost.

They also come with a double garage which has a versatile room above that you can use as you wish. So you could convert it to a home office, a gym, games or music room – the choice is yours.

In recent years, the pretty market town has seen a number of new homes developments around its periphery and the facilities available to its occupants have improved and modernised as the population has grown. A new swimming pool, imposing new library and plans for new business parks, all point to Dursley becoming a thriving and exciting new community in which to live.

But not only do residents benefit from living in a countryside setting – situated along the edge of the Cotswolds and surrounded by woodland regions – they also have the advantage of having Bristol, Cheltenham and Gloucester within easy reach thanks to the proximity of the M5, so it offers an ideal location for those needing to commute.

Whether you live alone or with your family, the development will appeal to a wide range of buyers with a good mix of property sizes and styles – from two to five-bedrooms. A total of 74 homes will be built at the site.

Sales Advisor, Katrina Gribbon said: “I’m really excited to start working at the Littlecombe development which is in a charming up-and-coming area that successfully combines the ancient and modern. In addition, like all Bloor properties, these homes will be built to a high specification that gives our customers confidence. As a result, we’re expecting this to be a popular site and we’re looking forward to showing visitors the properties on offer here and helping them to purchase a lovely new home.”

If you would like further information on the homes available at Littlecombe, you can call into the on-site marketing suite which is open daily between 10.00am and 5.15pm from 29 August.

Alternatively, you can find out more details of these and other properties in the region by visiting bloorhomes.com.
