Buyer follows brother to Hortham Village

Buyer follows brother to Hortham Village When Beverley Escott saw her brother’s new house at Hortham Village, Barratt’s eco-friendly development in Almondsbury near Bristol, she decided to buy a home of her own there.

“My brother Dale and his family moved from Bradley Stoke in March,” said Beverley (46) who works for a utility company. “They bought a four-bedroom Woodcote terraced house at Hortham Village and I was very impressed by their new home.

“I have two teenage children and really wanted to move to something larger, so I decided to take a closer look at the development. I really liked the Dumont show home and decided to buy a four-bedroom terraced house in that style.

“Our new house is just two doors away from Dale,” she continued. “It’s nice to have family living close by and my brother was able to help me with my move from Stoke Gifford.

“Like Dale, I took advantage of Barratt’s part exchange scheme to move and the sales team was really helpful,” she continued. “Hortham Village is in a stunning location and I’m really pleased with my decision to relocate here.”
Louise Ware, Barratt sales director, continued: “We know that people who want to move to a larger house may be put off by what they hear about the credit crunch and difficulties in finding a buyer.

“However, our part exchange scheme is specially designed to make their move as stress free as possible. It removes all the uncertainty, because Barratt is a cash buyer - so there is no chain, no last-minute price haggling and no hidden expense - and we also cover the cost of HIPs.’’

Current availability at Hortham Village includes a selection of two, four and five- bedroom houses and townhouses, with prices ranging from £174,995 to 303,995.

All of the homes have been designed to be eco-friendly and include low energy light bulbs and waste separation units with selected plots boasting solar panels.

Hortham Village is surrounded by 50 acres of tranquil woodland and, when complete, will have an open parkland and play area. Although it nestles in the South Gloucestershire countryside, the development is ideally located for commuters, with the nearby M5 offering quick access to Bristol city centre, Cribbs Causeway and the motorway network.
