Redrow heads for Swansea

20th April 2007 Print
Award winning house builder Redrow is pushing its boundaries westwards in South Wales and preparing to launch a new development in Swansea. The new venture, called Awel-y-Mor, will comprise 115 new homes on a six-and-a-half acre site in Heol Las, Birchgrove – just moments from Swansea city with its impressive retail experience, bars, restaurants, cinema Grand Theatre and quaint maritime quarter.

Set in a tranquil location on the outskirts of Swansea, Awel-y-Mor will offer easy access to Swansea Marina and the well known beauty spots of the Mumbles and Gower coastline.

Redrow’s latest development will feature a variety of one, two, three and four-bedroom properties, including some apartments and a wide selection of terraced, semi and detached houses.

Rachael Davies, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South Wales), says: “It’s a while since we built in Swansea so this is a chance for local homebuyers to get reacquainted with Redrow and the quality and character of our homes. We’ve already had a lot of enquiries and are looking forward to releasing the first properties for sale.”

The Awel-y-Mor development is due to launch from a new on-site marketing suite during the weekend of April 28 / 29th and the first homes should be ready to move into early next year.

Redrow is already building two, three and four-bedroom homes at Cwrt Penrhiwtyn, in Neath, where current prices range from £108,000 for a two-bedroom apartment and from £159,995 to £219,950 for a selection of three and four-bedroom houses.
