Welsh rally stars head to Barratt’s Copper Quarter Barratt has teamed up with the cream of Welsh rally stars to stage a day of motorsport in Swansea just weeks before the final round of the World Rally Championship - Wales Rally GB - arrives in the city. Welsh rally legend Gwyndaf Evans and his son Elfyn, one of the country’s rising rally stars, will be at Barratt’s Copper Quarter development on Sunday November 11 – together with the Hankook Fiesta Elfyn will be driving on Wales Rally GB.

Barratt Sales Director Sandra Dixon said that with the rally service area based just a few miles away in Swansea’s SA1, it makes great sense for the housebuilder to join forces with the leading Welsh drivers contesting the event.

“Rallying is such a huge part of life in South Wales and we are delighted that Gwyndaf and Elfyn will interrupt their preparations to visit Copper Quarter,’’ said Sandra. “We already have strong links with the nearby Liberty Stadium and it is great that we can extend our sporting pedigree to rallying.’’

The pair will be meeting rally fans and signing autographs during the day and visitors to Copper Quarter will be able to sit in the Hankook Fiesta which will be swapping the housing development for wet and muddy Welsh forests when the rally gets underway on November 29.

This year Gwyndaf, a former British Rally Champion has been driving for the Mitsubishi rally team in the BRC while 18 year old Elfyn has just completed his first season in rallying finishing an impressive third overall in the Fiesta Sporting Trophy.

The pair will be at Copper Quarter, where Barratt is building a selection of innovative iPads and traditional apartments and houses with prices currently ranging from £117,995 to £224,995.
