Redrow site manager buys Redrow!

Redrow site manager buys Redrow! Award-winning Redrow site manager Barrie Jones is so confident about the quality of the homes he is helping to build in Swansea that he has bought one as a buy-to-let investment.

Business-savvy Barrie, who picked up the NHBC ‘Pride in the Job' quality award for the third year running last year, has invested in a three-bedroom house at Awel-y-Mor in Birchgrove.

The 30-year-old dad-of-four has worked at the site for a year, and says he knows that a Redrow home is a good investment for his future and that of his family.

He said: "It is the first property I have bought to rent out but I plan to buy more on future Redrow sites that I will work on. I've been at Awel-y-Mor for over a year but I purchased a house on the day of the sales launch because I knew it would stack up as a good investment."

Barrie, from Lampeter, bought a ‘Dunmore' home, which he believes will appeal to families and young professionals. He added: "I chose to buy a new house because I haven't got time to do any renovations and having helped to build it myself I can be confident of its quality. The development will also appeal to a lot of people because it is in an ideal location for access to Swansea city centre but also in a quiet location close to the countryside."

Barrie loves creating homes so much, he even built his own property in his home village for him and his wife Amanda and their four young children, aged between eight and one, to live in.

Awel-y-Mor, will eventually comprise 115 new homes in Heol Las, Birchgrove - just moments from Swansea city with its impressive retail experience, bars, restaurants, cinema Grand Theatre and quaint maritime quarter.

Set in a tranquil location the development offers easy access to Swansea Marina and the well known beauty spots of the Mumbles and Gower coastline.

The development currently has a range of three and four bedroom properties available with prices from £179,995.

To provide added comfort and reassurance to prospective homebuyers, award winning Redrow Homes has introduced a ‘house price protection' promise - helping to protect the value of its customers' new homes for up to three years.

It is one of the measures under the umbrella of ‘re:assure from Redrow', which are all designed to give home buyers confidence and to help get them moving in the current housing market.

As well as helping to protect the value of their new home, Redrow's ‘re:assure' package includes measures to help people sell their current property at the best possible price, or could include help with the monthly mortgage repayments for the first year or two.
