Swansea homebuyers are ‘living the high life'

Swansea homebuyers are ‘living the high life' Homebuyers could open their eyes to a new way of living with one of Redrow's new three-storey homes in Birchgrove. A selection of stylish ‘Gorsley' townhouses and ‘Farnell' and ‘Hambledon' homes are on sale at Awel-y-Mor, offering spacious homes in a tranquil location on the outskirts of Swansea.

Rachael Davies, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South Wales), said: "Three-storey homes offer families and other homebuyers the opportunity to choose how they use the extra space in their property and be creative and flexible with the internal layout.

"Whilst three-storey living was popular back in Victorian times, living spread over three floors today is a contemporary solution to modern day life, and we've found that buyers at all stages of the property buying ladder appreciate its appeal - from young families right through to downsizers.

"The first floor living areas can offer extra privacy, with many buyers taking the opportunity to give teenagers and older children their own space and independence, which can be difficult to do in the traditional two-storey home. And people who work from home can also benefit, as a home office can often be tucked away on the top floor, separating ‘home' and ‘work' lives."

The three-bedroom ‘Farnell' is one of a new generation of homes with a ‘ready-made loft conversion'. It has a master bedroom and en-suite in the cleverly converted roof space and two further bedrooms and a main bathroom on the first floor. Rooms not needed as bedrooms can double as home office space, a games room or maybe a gym.

Likewise the four-bedroom ‘Hambledon' also has ‘rooms in the roof' and what would normally be redundant loft space has been converted to create two bedrooms, adding a sense of fun for children who can enjoy having their own ‘den'. The rest of the home comprises a roomy lounge and fitted kitchen/dining room on the ground floor, while the first floor boasts a spacious master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, as well as the second bedroom and family bathroom.

The four-bedroom ‘Gorsley' also offers growing families plenty of room to spread out, with a kitchen, a living room and a cloakroom on the ground floor, a master bedroom with an en-suite shower room, plus the lounge on the first floor and three further double bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor.

Awel-y-Mor, will eventually comprise 115 new homes in Heol Las, Birchgrove - just moments from Swansea city with its impressive retail experience, bars, restaurants, cinema Grand Theatre and quaint maritime quarter.

Set in a quiet location the development offers easy access to Swansea Marina and the well known beauty spots of the Mumbles and Gower coastline.

The development currently has a range of three and four-bedroom properties available with prices from £179,995 to £209,995.

To provide added comfort and reassurance to prospective homebuyers, award winning Redrow ‘re:assure from Redrow', a package of measures which are all designed to give home buyers confidence and to help get them moving in the current housing market.

Redrow's ‘re:assure' package includes measures to help people sell their current property at the best possible price, or could include help with the monthly mortgage repayments for the first year or two.
