New home is ‘just the right medicine' for Redrow's first resident

New home is ‘just the right medicine' for Redrow's first resident Delighted medical rep Anna Hanks has become the first resident to move into Redrow's new development in Pontarddulais. The 28-year-old has just taken up residence in a brand new three-storey ‘Farnell' townhouse at Cae Rebeca and is over-joyed with her spacious three-bedroom home.

She said: "I chose the development because it has a quiet location but is within easy reach of everything I need and really handy for Swansea. The nature of my work means I regularly travel and don't have an office base so I've turned one of the spare bedrooms into a study and the other into a guest bedroom so I can have friends to stay.

"I work quite long hours and haven't got time for DIY so a new build home is perfect for me. I chose Redrow because of their reputation for high quality homes and I love knowing that I can come home after a long day to my new house and just put my feet up and relax."

Anna, who plays netball for Pontarddulais in her spare time and has moved from a house in nearby Pontlliw, bought a ‘Farnell' home. It features a sumptuous master bedroom and en-suite bathroom in this ‘ready made loft conversion', in addition to the two bedrooms and family bathroom on the first floor. On the ground floor there is a spacious open-plan living room/diner and kitchen with oven, hob and chimney style extractor included. Other features include a downstairs cloakroom, additional storage and a single detached garage.

Rachael Davies, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South Wales), said: "Three-storey living is becoming increasingly popular as more and more househunters discover it is an affordable and flexible solution for modern family life. The additional floor of living space can provide a tranquil sanctuary and some lovely views of the surrounding countryside."

Cae Rebeca, a venture of 93 new homes, has been given a historical name as a reminder of rioters who helped bring an end to political, social and economic injustice in the 19th century.

Rachael added: "Cae Rebeca features an excellent choice of our quality-built homes, close to all of the local amenities of Pontardulais and also within easy reach of Swansea and Llanelli. There's also good access to the M4 for travel to Cardiff."

Local amenities are plentiful, including schools, shops and banks; it's just eight miles from Swansea and within a short drive of the beautiful scenery of the Gower coastline. For those with children, Pontardulais offers a good choice of schools, both English and Welsh speaking.

There are one, three, four and five bedroom homes available, with current prices ranging from £109,995 for a one-bedroom mid terrace home, to £299,995 for a five-bedroom, detached home. Three-bedroom ‘Farnell' homes are priced from £162,995.
