First-time buyers looking for an affordable new home should take a look at Barratt's Copper Quarter development in Swansea, where 1 bedroom iPad apartments can be bought for as little as £106,245 on our Headstart scheme.

"Our innovative iPads are chic, urban homes with open-plan living spaces and they are particularly popular with young professionals," reports Bev Wookey, Barratt senior sales manager. "Barratt's Head Start scheme offers the perfect chance to acquire an iPad at an affordable price.

"Under the shared equity scheme, first-time buyers secure a mortgage for 85 per cent of the total property price and Barratt finances the remaining 15 per cent for up to 10 years.

"This initiative is available on a number of one and two-bedroom iPads at Copper Quarter and all come with carpets and an allocated parking space," Bev continued.

"A first-time buyer could purchase a fourth floor, one-bedroom iPad with an asking price of £124,995 for just £106,245, or they could buy a two-bedroom iPad priced from £149,995 for just £127,495."

The shared equity scheme is also available on traditional apartments and houses at the development.

"With Head Start, people can buy a two-bedroom apartment with garage priced at £159,995 for just £135,995, or a three-bedroom house priced at £199,995 for £169,995," Bev added. "The scheme really is a great deal for people new to home ownership."

Copper Quarter is located alongside the River Tawe in Swansea. The birthplace of poet Dylan Thomas and actress Catherine Zeta Jones, Swansea is a lively and vibrant maritime city, with one of the most exciting waterfront developments in Europe.

Only a stone's throw away, the Victorian resort of Mumbles offers a fantastic array of attractions including a pier, traditional boutiques and craft shops. The stunning Gower Heritage Coast is close by.
