Barratt gets walking for Comic Relief

3rd March 2009 Print
Barratt gets walking for Comic Relief Barratt South Wales is hosting a fantastic event at its stylish Copper Quarter development in Swansea to raise money for Comic Relief on Saturday 7th March. The housebuilder is organising a fancy-dress charity walk along the riverside next to Copper Quarter; it’s free to enter, simply contact the sales office to register for a sponsorship form.

The walk will commence at 11am and hot dogs, burgers and drinks will be available; toffee apples - to remind us of those Comic Relief red noses - will be presented to all those who complete the walk. There is also the opportunity to get involved in a human table-football competition, entrants will compete against other teams and there will be a prize for the overall winning team.

A ‘red nose’ lucky dip will add to the excitement, with prizes for those who pick a gold one. Fairground rides at the development will keep the children happy and Barratt has promised it will donate £10 to Comic Relief for every family that visits its showhomes at Copper Quarter on this fun-packed day.

Copper Quarter offers one and two-bedroom apartments and two and three-bedroom houses, all with parking. Residents can enjoy attractive landscaped areas within the development, plus lovely river walks. Swansea city centre is only a short drive, or there is a Park and Ride bus station close to Copper Quarter with a regular bus service straight to the city centre. The train station at Swansea is around a mile from the development; Swansea Airport is around six and a half miles.

Remember to register to take part in the charity walk or the human table-football competition for Comic Relief.

Prices for homes currently available are from £139,995 for a two-bedroom apartment and from £176,995 for a three-bedroom mid-terrace house with a garage. The sales and marketing suite at Copper Quarter, Brunel Way, Swansea, West Glamorgan, SA1 7FF is open seven days a week from 11am to 6pm.
