Barratt celebrates Comic Relief success in Swansea Barratt South Wales has raised over £1000 for Comic Relief at its stylish Copper Quarter development in Swansea. The housebuilder organised a fancy-dress charity walk along the riverside next to Copper Quarter.

Hot dogs, burgers and drinks were available; toffee apples - to remind everyone of those Comic Relief red noses - were presented to all those who completed the three-mile walk. A bouncy castle and bungee run kept the children happy even though the rain poured down.

Barratt donated £10 to Comic Relief for every family that visited its showhomes at Copper Quarter, and this, together with sponsorship money from the walk amounted to more than £1000.

Adrian Bird, sales director at Barratt South Wales, said: “Despite the weather, a good time was had by all at Copper Quarter, with staff, residents and members of the public really going the extra mile to raise money for Comic Relief.”

Copper Quarter offers one and two-bedroom apartments and two and three-bedroom houses, all with parking. Residents can enjoy attractive landscaped areas within the development, plus lovely river walks. The centre of Swansea city is only a short drive and there is also a Park and Ride bus station close to Copper Quarter with a regular bus service straight to the city centre. Swansea train station is around a mile from the development with Swansea Airport, around six and a half miles away.

Prices for homes currently available are from £139,995 for a two-bedroom apartment and from £176,995 for a three-bedroom mid-terrace house with a garage.
