Flying high at Copper Quarter

12th May 2009 Print
Flying high at Copper Quarter Barratt South Wales has announced it will host an ‘Early Bird’ pre-launch event on 16th and 17th May, 11am to 6pm, at its Copper Quarter development in Swansea to provide buyers with an opportunity to snap up the first of a new release of iPad apartments.

The iPads at Copper Quarter are chic one-bedroom apartments designed especially for first time buyers or investors. These stylish homes make creative use of space and include a living/dining area with an open-plan fully fitted kitchen, a bathroom, a double bedroom and a private balcony. There’s also parking for your car.

Barratt will be reducing the usual reservation fee of £1000 to £200 on any reservation made over the weekend on the Early Bird prices. The housebuilder has also extended the reservation period until the end of August to give buyers longer to save for their deposit; in addition, it will contribute five per cent of the purchase price towards that deposit.

Visitors at the Early Bird event will be able to have a go a flying a helicopter – the remote control variety that is; those who reserve an iPad over the weekend will also receive a voucher entitling them to a ride in the real thing over the coastline of the Gower.

This striking development also has two-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom houses, all with parking. Those interested in these larger properties should note in their diaries that Barratt will be hosting a Cheese and Wine party in the three-bedroom Ewenny showhome at the development on 30th May, 11am to 6pm, where there will be an opportunity to learn more about Barratt’s Part Exchange deal available on a collection of stunning properties.

Copper Quarter has much to offer. Residents can enjoy attractive landscaped areas within the development, plus lovely river walks. This is a prime location. For rugby fans, the Liberty Stadium is almost next door. The centre of Swansea is just a short drive away, or there’s a Park and Ride bus station nearby with regular services straight to the city centre. Swansea train station is around a mile from the development with Swansea Airport, around six and a half miles away.

Adrian Bird, sales director for Barratt South Wales, says: “We hope to see lots of visitors at these two events when we look forward to showcasing Copper Quarter and demonstrating that it is more affordable to buy here than they might think, thanks to some very special deals we are currently offering.”

Prices for the new release of one-bedroom iPads during the Early Bird weekend only are yet to be announced. Prices for two-bedroom apartments are from £146,500 and three-bedroom houses are from £161,995. The sales and marketing suite at Copper Quarter, Brunel Way, Swansea, West Glamorgan, SA1 7FF is open seven days a week from 11am to 6pm.

Barratt is the premier housebuilder in South Wales where it has been building new homes for 30 years. Barratt South Wales works closely with local Housing Associations, in addition to the Welsh Assembly Government, to bring forward opportunities for first-time-buyers and key workers.
