Phil Spencer heads to Copper Quarter in Swansea

11th September 2009 Print
Phil Spencer heads to Copper Quarter in Swansea Television presenter and property expert Phil Spencer will be speaking about the property market and sharing his knowledge and experiences at a special ‘Meet the Experts’ event, hosted by Barratt South Wales at its Copper Quarter development in Swansea on 19th September, from 11am to 4pm.

Financial advisors, estate agents, solicitors and sales negotiators will also be on hand to offer help and information on purchasing a new home at Copper Quarter, where there is currently an excellent choice of one-bedroom iPad apartments, two-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom houses, all with parking.

Construction specialists and interior designers will also be available, so prospective purchasers can find out why it pays to buy a brand new home, and how to create a showhome feel that works well for them.

Adrian Bird, sales director at Barratt South Wales, says: “We hope as many people as possible will join us on 19th September. It will be a great opportunity to meet Phil Spencer who will be delighted to chat to visitors and answer any questions they may have about the property market.”

There are a variety of ways to buy at Copper Quarter. With Barratt’s Head Start scheme purchasers can buy a brand new home with only 80 per cent mortgage and 5 per cent deposit; Barratt will pay the other 15 per cent as an interest free loan for up to 10 years. The repayment of the 15 per cent is at the market value at the point of resale, transfer, or the end of the 10 year period, whether this is more or less than the original purchase price. This scheme is exclusively for first time buyers and key workers.

To help those with an existing home to sell, Barratt is currently offering to buy their old home through its popular Part Exchange scheme. This enables the purchaser to buy a new Barratt home, taking away the worry of being in a chain and the purchasers can even stay in their old home until the new one is ready. The purchaser saves money too, as there is no HIP to prepare or estate agency fees.

The development’s location, near The Liberty Stadium, has much to offer buyers, with attractive landscaped areas within the scheme and lovely river walks. Swansea city centre is only a short drive, or there is a Park and Ride bus station close to Copper Quarter with a regular bus service straight to the city centre. The train station at Swansea is around a mile from the development; Swansea Airport is around six and a half miles.

Prices for one-bedroom iPad apartments are from £89,995, two-bedroom apartments are from £141,995 and three-bedroom houses are from £154,995. The sales and marketing suite at Copper Quarter, Brunel Way, Swansea, West Glamorgan, SA1 7FF is open Sunday to Wednesday and Friday 11am to 6pm, Thursday 1pm to 8pm and Saturday 10am to 5pm.
