Encore at Lancefield Quay

9th May 2007 Print
Following on from the triumph of its show village at Lancefield Quay, where Miller Homes dressed a range of properties to highlight the level of luxury at this award wining development, the company has just launched a further two apartments to showcase its unique duplex style of properties.

Now in its final phase, Lancefield Quay is a stunning landmark development, by Miller Homes, and joint venture partner CALA Homes, on the banks of the River Clyde in Glasgow’s burgeoning financial services district.

With more than 70% of the development now sold, the show village has been a remarkable success in helping to convert visiting potential buyers in to Lancefield Quay’s latest residents, including those who have been fortunate enough to buy two of the previous show apartments.

“The show village has made quite an impact and the feedback from our customers has been very positive, which is why we have dressed two duplex properties. Our duplex style of apartment is quite cutting edge and we thought the best way to demonstrate this to potential buyers was to allow them to see it firsthand,” said Joanne Casey, sales director, Miller Homes Limited (Scotland West).

Both duplexes (a type S and type T) provide a truly inspiring layout. The ground floor in each is home to the lounge, two-bedrooms and main bathroom.

The upper floor is where the living area is found, a space that is suited both for day-to-day living and for entertaining, as it benefits from an adjoining kitchen and dining area. The master-bedroom, with the added luxury of an en-suite is also found on this level of the duplex.

As with all the properties available at Lancefield Quay, the duplex show apartments demonstrate the level of luxury that comes as standard. Large, open-plan living space and floor-to-ceiling windows dominate the majority of the interiors. Brilliant white walls contrast with oak effect flooring in the public rooms, while glazed screens between the hall and living space create greater flexibility.

The first-class internal specification also includes fully-fitted designer kitchens, complete with Siemens appliances. All bathrooms and en-suites come with glass deck mounted basins with a stainless steel base, which harmonizes with the honed grey slate flooring. Other thoughtful design elements include understated down lighters throughout the apartment, as well as elegant, chrome ironmongery.

Aside from a wealth of bars, restaurants and shops in the heart of the city centre, which is less than a 10-minute stroll from Lancefield Quay, the development is within a few minutes walk of the SECC, Clyde Auditorium, City Inn Hotel and Greens Health and Fitness.

The latest addition to the landscape around Lancefield Quay is the striking Clyde Arc – a new bridge linking the north bank of the River Clyde to the south bank at Pacific Quay, where the BBC and SMG are headquartered. Not only has this impressive piece of modern engineering further enhanced the view at the development, but it also makes Lancefield Quay hugely appealing to potential buyers seeking a much more accessible commute to work.

Central Station is within walking distance from the development and the west end is less than a 10-minute drive or train ride away, providing a range of unique bars eateries and shops.

Prices in the final release of properties currently start from £161,000 for a two-bedroom apartment, including carpets, to £420,000 for a top floor penthouse. Duplex style apartments are currently released from £219,000.
