It’s a sign of the times as Barratt West sales executive, Myra Stevenson checks out the number of homes sold from plan at the Laurels in Rutherglen. As the regeneration of the East End of the City continues at pace as part of Glasgow’s bid for the Commonwealth Games and many first-time buyers are keeping a keen eye on the Laurels in Rutherglen, Barratt West Scotland’s latest housing development in the area.

Commenting on the development, Barratt West Scotland sales director, Stuart MacColl said: “Construction work has now started at the Laurels in Rutherglen and due to its location, this development has already generated a lot interest from local residents and will provide much needed housing for first-time buyers in an area of established housing as well.”

When completed, 120 two and three apartments will be built on this multi-million pound re-development of a former brown-field site. We are currently building 2 and 3 bedroom apartments, priced from £137,995."
