The Sidings - Now arriving in Baillieston

8th May 2008 Print
The groundwork has now started at the Sidings, Barratt West Scotland's latest development at Easterhouse Road in Baillieston. When completed, this new development, built on a former railway sidings, will consist of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments and 3 and 4 bedroom detached homes.

Commenting on this latest development of a brown-field site, Barratt West Sales & Marketing manager David Balmer said: "Situated just a minutes walking distance from the North Electric rail system and a few minutes from the M8 motorway, this development at the Sidings is an ideal location for commuting to Both Glasgow and Edinburgh.

"With the M8 motorway just minutes away, commuting to Glasgow, Edinburgh and the North and the Clyde Coast couldn't be easier. Whilst by rail, four services an hour run from the nearby Easterhouse railway station, with a journey time of just 13 minutes to the heart of Glasgow or eastbound to Coatbridge and Airdrie in Lanarkshire. Rail links will be further enhanced with the extension of the line to Edinburgh via Airdrie and Bathgate in 2010, giving a direct link to the capital."

Also nearby is the Fort Retail shopping park, with many top name stores outlets. The sales office for this development will be opening soon at Century 21, 158 Main Street, Baillieston.
