Austrian voted Best European Airline

13th May 2008 Print
In its 22nd annual survey Capital magazine asked its readers to assess their airline experiences. The survey was based on evaluations of 17,000 flights taken by more than 1,000 German frequent flyers. Precise results can be viewed at Capital.de. Austrian has again been voted in first place with best results in the categories of service and catering.

Austrian has implemented a wide range of innovative products and services in recent years as part of its highly successful and distinctive quality and service offensive. By focussing on individual and personal service in particular, the “we care” project has provided an essential foundation to Austrian’s successful differentiation from the competition.

Chief Commercial Officer Dr. Andreas Bierwirth made the following statement regarding the company’s success in winning another key passenger survey:

“Austrian makes it possible for our passengers to experience both Austria and Austrian hospitality above the clouds: we win points for our first-class DO&CO catering, in both Economy and Business Class. Having won a series of high-value industry awards over the past year, including the Business Traveller Award and Airlinetest, this new top placing is clear evidence that the consistent Austrian quality and service offensive is having an impact and being acknowledged by customers.

“We shall also be continuing to invest in innovative products and services, both on the ground and in the air, in an effort to make travelling a more pleasant experience for our passengers.”
