Austrian launches Feel-good programme

23rd July 2008 Print
Austrian is launching another service upgrade for passengers on all long-haul flights. The new feel-good programme for all the senses offers passengers that “little bit extra” service on flights to Bangkok, Tokyo, Beijing, Toronto, Washington, New York, Chicago (until 26 October), Delhi, Mumbai and Malé (from 5 November).

“Freshen up your flight” – personal water bottle for every passenger
From 22 July onwards, a new service awaits passengers from the moment they board the aircraft. Every passenger, no matter whether they are travelling in Economy or Business Class, will now receive a personal water bottle, and will be able to refresh themselves with Austrian spring water from the Vöslauer brand as soon as they board their flight. The 0.5-litre water bottle has been designed together with Vöslauer, and ensures individual refreshment – a highly-valued service, particularly on night flights.

“Tradition meets modernity” – exclusive Riedel glasses for more enjoyment
The particularly high-value and multiple award-winning Business Class experience from Austrian on long-haul flights is rated amongst the best in the world today. Austrian has succeeded in winning another top partner in the shape of traditional Austrian glass manufacturer Riedel. In future, all the drinks in Business Class on Austrian long-haul and Premium Service flights will be served in high-quality ‘O’ Series glasses, a trendy reinterpretation of the classic wine glass. As well as this, Riedel has designed a special Champagne glass for Austrian Airlines that is unique worldwide. In this way, Austrian makes good taste an even greater pleasure.

“Turn bed down” – freshly turned-down bed linen in Business Class
In another new service, Business Class passengers’ blankets and pillows will now be turned down with white bed linen, on request. Austrian Airlines is therefore offering its passengers a Business Class experience incorporating service of a truly First Class standard. With almost 2 metres of personal space and the personal Sky Spa Comfort Kit, a truly top-class flight experience now awaits passengers.

With this additional new product in its quality and service offensive, Austrian is pointing the way towards the future in the sense of “We fly for your smile”. By offering no fewer than 130 destinations worldwide, 48 destinations in Central and Eastern Europe and an attractive route and transfer network by bundling traffic flows via Vienna, Austrian has positioned itself strongly. As well as the dense route network, selected long-haul destinations perfectly complement the network, which operates through the West-East/East-West flight hub of Vienna.
