Students graduate from Emirates Aviation College
The Emirates Aviation College (Aerospace & Academic Studies) celebrated its 15th graduation ceremony yesterday, granting awards to over 130 students.HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, Chairman & Chief Executive, Emirates Airline & Group, and Chancellor of Emirates Aviation College (Aerospace & Academic Studies) conferred the awards at a ceremony at the college.
Family members and friends applauded as students received National Diplomas and Higher National Diplomas in various disciplines such as Aerospace Engineering, Electronics & Computer Engineering, Business Management and Travel & Tourism Management.
In his address, College Vice-Chancellor Mohammed Al Budoor said: “On behalf of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed, I congratulate the graduates for the successful completion of their studies at the college.
“They are now ready to go on to higher study or begin a career in the exciting and fast-growing aviation industry, both in the UAE and beyond. I wish them all every success in their future endeavours."
Aerospace Engineering graduates completed on-the-job training at the Emirates Engineering Centre, while Management students had the chance to experience the business world, working for short periods in a number of commercial and tourism firms.
They now have the opportunity to join the one year, top-up degree programme which the college is offering, in collaboration with the UK’s Coventry University.
The College offers four different top-up degree programmes - in Aerospace Technology, Electronics Engineering, Business Systems and Business Systems (Tourism).
Dr Ahmad Al Ali, Deputy Vice Chancellor commented: “We are expecting quite a number of Higher National Diploma graduates to enrol in these degree programmes due to their uniqueness in the region and the applied nature of them.”
