Arabian racing under starter’s orders with Emirates
Emirates’ support of horse racing around the world continues with the Dubai International Arabian Race Day, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, at Newbury Racecourse, England on Sunday 22nd July. The Emirates Airline Premier Handicap Stakes, for four-year-olds and upwards over a mile, will be the opening race of the meeting that is one of the highlights of the Arabian Racing calendar. Last year’s event attracted over 15,000 spectators, and with some of the leading Arabian horses set to be at Newbury, that number looks likely to be exceeded.
Boutros Boutros, Emirates’ Senior Vice President, Media Relations, Sponsorships and Events, said: “Emirates is renowned for its support of horse racing around the world, including the title sponsorship of the Dubai World Cup, the Emirates Melbourne Cup and the Emirates Singapore Derby. The Dubai International Arabian Race Day will once again provide a great backdrop to showcase the racing talent of the Purebred Arabian horses.”
As well as the sponsorship of the opening race, Emirates is also offering racegoers at Newbury the opportunity to win a holiday to Dubai.
