AC Milan touchdown in Dubai with Emirates AC Milan, the recent winner of the FIFA Club World Cup, arrived at Dubai International Airport on Wednesday evening, after flying in on Emirates flights from Milan, Italy and Sao Paulo, Brazil. The AC Milan players are in Dubai for a week of winter training, courtesy of Emirates, a partner of the champions of Europe.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, Emirates’ Executive Vice President, Commercial Operations Worldwide, who welcomed the team on their arrival, said: “It is very exciting that through our sponsorship, Emirates is able to bring a team of the calibre of AC Milan to Dubai. We are looking forward to having the opportunity to watch them train over the coming week and to witness them in action against the UAE in the Emirates Challenge on 8th January.

“Football fans across the UAE are welcome to attend the morning and afternoon training sessions at the Al Nasr Sports Club; we hope that many of our future football stars will come and watch the likes of Kaka and Ronaldo in action here in Dubai.”

As the UAE National Team starts down the road to qualification for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the Emirates Challenge will offer the UAE players a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience from facing some of the best footballers in the world.

Tickets for the Emirates Challenge on the 8th January are on sale from Showbizme.com and from the Al Nasr Sports Club, either beforehand or on the day. They are priced at AED50 for Grandstand and AED 25 for the main stand.
