Emirates graduates ready to boost aviation industry

As the region’s aviation and tourism industry continues to grow, so does the demand for qualified personnel. The good news is that following the 16th Graduation Ceremony from the Emirates Aviation College (Aerospace & Academic Studies) there are now 120 new graduates ready to join the industry.

Since the establishment of the College in 1991 there have been over 12,000 graduates, the most recent ones completing National and Higher National Diplomas in various disciplines, including: Aerospace Engineering, Electronics and Computer Engineering, Business Management and Tourism Management.

A number of the graduates also completed a BSc in Aerospace Technology and a BSc in Electronics Engineering. Both are one year, top-up degree programmes in collaboration with Coventry University in the UK.

HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, Chairman & Chief Executive Emirates Airline & Group and Chancellor of Emirates Aviation College (Aerospace & Academic Studies), presented the certificates to the students at the ceremony which was held at the College.

Mohammed Al Budoor, Vice-Chancellor of the Emirates Aviation College, said: “Emirates Aviation College has been offering first class aviation related educational programmes for the past 17 years. It is important for us to keep up with the fast growth of the aviation industry in the UAE and the rest of the world.

“The College is committed to provide highly qualified and well equipped graduates to fulfill the aviation market demands in Aviation Management, Aerospace Maintenance, Business and Tourism, Air Traffic Management, Information Technology, Project Management and Logistics.

“On behalf of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, I would like to congratulate all of our graduates and wish them the best of luck in their future careers.”
