Emirates SkyCargo adds Slovenia to offline network

Emirates SkyCargo has appointed a General Sales Agent (GSA) in Slovenia, taking its number of offline stations in Europe to 12.

Prakash Nair, Emirates Manager Network Cargo Sales Development, said, “As one of our key regions, Emirates has vowed to provide our European customers with the best services possible including short connection times, an expansive route network and professional handling of their cargoes.

“We have appointed Sky.XS as our agents in Slovenia. With more than a decade of experience representing cargo carriers in the country, Sky.XS will bring the level of professionalism that Emirates SkyCargo customers across six continents have come to expect from us.”

Slovenia is part of the fast growing Central Europe region. Cargo will be trucked from the capital Ljubljana to Emirates’ directly served stations of Vienna and Venice which are served by daily flights.

It is important in this day of globalised trade that shippers have fast, reliable access to their customers regardless of where in the world they are located.”

The main destinations for Slovenian exports, comprising machinery, pharmaceuticals, computer parts, telecommunication equipment, motor vehicle parts and textiles, are expected to be countries in Africa and the Middle East. Imports of leather articles, chemicals, textiles and garments, electrical equipment and motor vehicle parts will come mainly from Japan, China and the US.
