22nd February 2008 Print
SAS Norge is to commence flights to Warsaw. This is the third Polish destination to which SAS will start flying in the summer and the 15th new direct route launched by the carrier this year.

SAS Norge will fly six days a week to the Polish capital, Warsaw. This is the third destination in Poland that SAS will open this summer. The airline has already announced new routes to Krakow and Gdansk. The Warsaw route will commence in mid-May, while Krakow and Gdansk start at the end of March.

Attractive morning departure
"We want to contribute to increased competition to Warsaw and can offer business and leisure travelers an attractive departure in the morning," says Vice President Communications and Public Affairs Thomas Midteide of SAS Norge.

Warsaw is Poland's largest city, with nearly three million inhabitants. Warsaw has a vibrant city life, with everything you can wish for in the form of shopping, restaurants, hotels and culture. Warsaw's old town is included in the UNESCO list of world heritage sites.

Choice of three classes
"We can see distinct growth in the business traffic to Poland and will have three classes on board to Warsaw to satisfy all passengers' needs for flexibility and comfort," says Midteide.

Economy class is ideal for those who want to fly as inexpensively as possible, but with such SAS service as generous leg room, free choice of favorite seat, free check-in of baggage and EuroBonus points.

Economy Extra and Business class are adapted to the business market, with even more leg room, more flexibility and free meals on board. Passengers in these classes can also use SAS Fast Track at Gardermoen for quicker security checks and check in more baggage. Business passengers also have access to the lounge at Gardermoen.

Naturally, passengers traveling from other cities in Norway can check in their baggage all the way to Warsaw. The route between Oslo and Warsaw will be operated using Boeing 737 aircraft. The lowest one-way fare is NOK 380, including all taxes and charges, and ticket sales commence on Monday.
