Spanair launches Munich to Barcelona & Bilbao

24th January 2007 Print
From the 1st of April, Spanair will continue with its international expansion by connecting the cities of Barcelona and Munich, initially offering one daily flight and then adding a second one from the 15th of April.

At the same time, from the 15th of April, Spanair will begin to operate the route between Bilbao and the Bavarian Capital with one daily frequency, both ways.

The start of these new operations will allow the company to move forward in its international expansion plan, by increasing and broadening its network of direct flights between Spain and Germany. These flights will also at the same time allow for numerous connections within the company's extensive domestic network, as well as with many German cities, and other international destinations through Star Alliance members such as; Lufthansa, Austrian or Swiss, with which Spanair works closely, to offer a high quality and comprehensive service.

With these new routes, the company responds to the increased demand from Munich as an important business centre, offering a specially adjusted timetable for business trips.

These new operations are part of the company's international expansion plan, intensifying in this first stage, the connections with Germany."
