Spanair and Air Europa cooperate on 18 new routes

27th July 2009 Print
Spanair and Air Europa expand their commercial cooperation based on codeshare agreement signed last March for some domestic routes. 18 additional domestic routes will be added to the previous program offering already 13 routes in connection for passengers’ benefits of both airlines.

The aim for this commercial cooperation agreement is to provide more and better travel options for Spanair and Air Europa’s passengers.

The new code share flights, already ready for sale, operated by both airlines will begin on a two phase basis:

- From July the 2nd, the code-shared flights will be operated from Madrid to Vigo, North and South Tenerife, Las Palmas and Palma de Mallorca. Also from Palma de Mallorca to Valencia and Alicante.

- From October the 1st, the code-shared flights will operate from Barcelona to South Tenerife, Lanzarote, Las Palmas, Menorca, Ibiza, Valencia, Vigo, Oviedo, Santiago, A Coruña, Bilbao and Alicante

Spanair and Air Europa estimate that the expansion will generate a significant increase in passenger traffic and improve the travel options and provide its passengers a full range of services:

A bigger offering - By combining the routes and frequencies of Spanair and Air Europa, passengers can enjoy a wider choice of connecting flights

More comfort - Connecting flight passengers will enjoy the check-in service up to its final destination. Business class passengers will use VIP lounges of both airlines at all domestic airport available.

More Premium benefits - Apart from enjoying preferential services offered by Spanair and Air Europa (saving queues to check in, possibility of extra luggage, etc.), Spanair Plus members can earn and redeem points across the full network of Air Europa.
