Enjoy traditional Christmas cheer in Berkshire Guests staying at the Macdonald Berystede Hotel & Spa, near Ascot, Berkshire between Sunday 23 and Wednesday 26 December will be treated to traditional celebrations and Christmas cheer in abundance. The hotel is offering a choice of special two, three and four night packages with festive menus, lively entertainment, children’s activities and use of the new VITAL Health and Beauty Spa from £375 per person.

And for those who prefer not to join in the festivities, or are visiting friends and relatives nearby, the Macdonald Berystede is offering B&B from £100 per night for two sharing.

Set in beautiful wooden grounds and finished in the style of a French château complete with turrets, the Macdonald Berystede exudes a timeless elegance. Combine this with a warm welcome, congenial hospitality and delicious food and it’s the perfect place for a magical Christmas.

Arrivals on Sunday 23rd can take advantage of the hotel’s close proximity to Windsor for some last minute present shopping, or they can relax in the heated hydro-therapy indoor/outdoor pool and indulge in some Decleor or Carita pamper treatments in the spa. Afternoon tea will be served in the hotel’s Oak Lounge from 3.30pm.

Celebrations really get underway on Christmas Eve at the early evening champagne and canapé reception with entertainment by the hotel’s carol singers. This is followed by a delicious four-course dinner in the award-wining AA Rosette Hyperion Restaurant.

Christmas morning begins in style with a choice of breakfast in bed or fruit pastries and full English breakfast downstairs. There’ll be plenty of time to open presents during the morning, or take a walk in the hotel’s landscaped grounds to work off breakfast and build up an appetite for the six-course festive lunch created by Head Chef Gordon Ingles. And in case anyone is hungry, tea and Christmas cake will be served in the Diadem Bar after the Queen’s speech. Supper will be a leisurely affair with a Yuletide buffet followed by family games and entertainment. And who knows at what stage in the day Santa Claus will appear with a present for each child.

Guests staying on Boxing Day will be treated to a cookery demonstration by the head chef and a matinee performance of ‘Cinderella’ at the Theatre Royal, Windsor. Later they can don their best 1920s party outfits and shimmy to the sounds of the hotel’s resident musician at a Gangsters and Molls party evening with prizes for the best outfits.

Prices for a two-night Christmas break in a classic double room start from £375 per person including meals and entertainment as outlined in the festive programme. Children aged four to twelve years sharing with adults pay £50 per child per night. Three night packages are from £475 and four nights start at £495, while for guests wishing to stay additional nights after the festive break the price is from £50 per person per night, dinner B&B (excluding New Year’s Eve).
