Explore Nottinghamshire and discover Christmas

It’s that time of year again when thoughts turn to Christmas but don’t panic - help is at hand to make things a little easier in preparation for the festive season. Experience Nottinghamshire has teamed up with local retailers, entertainment venues, transport and tourism partners to make Christmas an extra special occasion in the county this year.

Together, they have created a £50,000 Christmas marketing campaign to promote restaurants and nightlife, pantomimes, seasonal markets, late night shopping events, outdoor ice skating, Santa’s grottos and carol services with the slogan “Explore Nottinghamshire, Discover Christmas”.

The message will be displayed through bus and outdoor advertising, as well as being aired on regional radio, and aims to encourage residents to stay within Nottingham and Nottinghamshire to do their Christmas shopping, and seasonal activities.

A dedicated website christmasinnotts.com will be online from 1 November, featuring the most up to date information about entertainment and events throughout the season. And there’ll be chances to win great prizes both before Christmas and to brighten gloomy January.

‘Explore Nottinghamshire’ leaflets will be available from tourism centres and selected venues across the county from 10 November.
