Christmas in Cornwall need not break the bank
Whether you fancy spending the festive season at the lovely Porth Veor Manor Hotel where your every whim will be catered for, or chilling out in the four star self catering Beachcomber's Apartments a stone's throw away from Watergate Bay (Christmas lunch at Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Restaurant, anyone?), or getting cosy in one of the brand new Green Acres Cottages where you can hire your own outdoor hot tub for the day, Breaks in Cornwall can help you arrange the merriest Christmas for your friends and family.Porth Veor Manor is a three star hotel in North Cornwall only a mile from Newquay with direct access to a lovely beach. The three night stay starts on 23rd December and includes full Cornish breakfast each morning, four course dinner each evening, Christmas Eve party night, champagne breakfast on Christmas morning, four course Christmas lunch, quiz night – and even a gift from Father Christmas! Log fires, a festive five day programme and superb food combine to make it a perfect Christmas treat. Prices start from £319 per person based on two sharing a double room – clients must quote PRL/886 to quality for this offer price.
Beachcombers Apartments are four star apartments with en suite facilities, flat screen tvs and a storage area for surfboards and wetsuits. A five night stay over Christmas will cost £490 in a two bedroom apartment, sleeping four (i.e. £122.50 per person). The kitchen is fully equipped so that you can prepare Christmas dinner at home, but if you’d rather splurge on Christmas Day, Breaks in Cornwall also have an allocation of Christmas Lunch reservations at the Jamie Oliver inspired Fifteen Restaurant on Watergate Bay. The cost for Christmas lunch is £85 per person – it’s expensive, but if you eat in for the rest of your stay, it may just be worth doing.
Brand new and opened in September this year, Green Acres Cottages are also available over Christmas – and reduced by £100 because they are so new on the market and therefore little known. The cottages are superbly located close to St Austell Bay, with outstanding views across Luxulyan Woods and Tywardreath Village towards the sea. The ten cottages at Green Acres have been awarded four stars by Visit Britain and share an indoor heated pool – and for just £20 per day, you can book your own outdoor hot tub for the duration of your stay. A two bedroom cottage (sleeping up to six people) now starts from £490 (£100 off brochure price) for a five night stay commencing 23rd December.
