Indulgent ideas from Whatley Manor Whatley Manor, the beautifully restored private manor house hotel set amidst 12 acres of Wiltshire countryside, has created an exciting range of short breaks and special events to welcome in the winter months. The newly launched Autumn/Winter Events Guide is filled with ideas to celebrate the festive season, unwind and relax with tempting inspirational events for the New Year, giving guests more reason than ever to treat themselves with a stay at this luxurious country hideaway.

Highlights for the season include a celebratory gastronomic four-course dinner in "The Dining Room" prepared by Michelin-starred Head Chef Martin Burge to mark Whatley Manor's Fourth Rosette on 9th December, a Personal Colour Analysis day to brighten up a winter wardrobe on 21st January, a Bollinger Champagne Dinner on 3rd February and a programme of lively Sunday Jazz and cosy Sunday Cinema Screenings to extend the weekend feeling.

Celebrate Whatley Manor's Fourth Rosette, 9th December 2008
6:30pm for 7:00 start
On 9th December, Whatley Manor's Michelin-starred chef Martin Burge and his team will prepare a gastronomic four-course menu in The Dining Room to mark the award of their Fourth AA Rosette. The dinner will be accompanied by exquisite wine presented by Sara Hicks of Vranken Pommery Monopole, including Champagne Pommery, red wine from the Douro Valley and Rozes Port. The dinner costs £115 per person and includes a champagne reception, four-course menu with cheese course, wine, coffee and petit fours.

Personal Colour Analysis at Whatley Manor, 21st January 2009
9:30am for 10:00am start
Discover the colours that are perfectly suited to you and start the new year with a new look. On 21st January, Whatley Manor welcomes host image and colour consultant, Julie Merrifield from the House of Colour. £145 per person includes a presentation on colour, a personal full colour analysis, full use of Aquarius Spa and a three-course lunch and glass of wine in Le Mazot, the brasserie.

Bollinger Champagne Dinner, 3rd February 2009
7:00pm for 7:30pm start
This season, Whatley Manor's exclusive champagne-tasting event will be hosted by Mr Christian Dennis, Ambassador of Bollinger, who will give guests an insight into Bollinger's unique style of champagne. To accompany the Bollinger collection, Martin Burge will prepare a four-course menu in The Dining Room. The evening costs £125 per person for the four-course menu and champagnes.

Spring Flower Arranging, 10th March 2009
10:00am for 10:30am start
Learn how to create stunning spring arrangements with Whatley Manor's in-house florist, Rachel Wilson. Her stylish designs, using only organic materials, make perfect Easter gifts and bring spring warmth to every home. After lunch, guests will work on their own spring basket to take home with them. The day costs £70 and includes demonstration, materials, three-course lunch with glass of wine and refreshments throughout the day.

Bring on Sunday with Whatley Manor's Live Jazz and Cinema Screenings
This winter, Whatley Manor is giving its guests even more reasons to include a Sunday in their stay with a series of live jazz Sundays with The Solent City Jazzmen, starting on 18th January. Or as an alternative guests can join the popular series of Sunday cinema screenings in the hotel's private 40-seater cinema.

Jazz will be performed in Le Mazot, while guests enjoy a three-course menu from 12:00pm - 3:30pm. Jazz Sundays will take place on 18th January, 8th March, 19th April, 21st June, 23rd August, 4th October and 22nd November.

The new series of cinema screenings starts on 30th November with "21" starring Jim Sturgess, Kevin Spacey and Kate Bosworth. This is followed by festive favourite 'The Holiday' on 14th December, heart-warming Abba musical 'Mamma Mia' on 25th January, the latest 007 action in 'Quantum of Solace' on 22nd February and 'The Duchess' with Kiera Knightly on 15th March.

There are two showings for each film with the option to take lunch in Le Mazot from 12 noon with the first screening at 3pm or watch the second screening at 5.30pm followed by dinner. Please check at the time of booking for film start times as these may change depending on the length of the film. The screenings cost £37 per person to include the movie, plus a three-course meal, coffee and home made popcorn.

Christmas and New Year’s Eve at Whatley Manor
Enjoy Christmas like never before by leaving all the stress of preparations behind and escape to Whatley Manor for an unforgettable Cotswold Christmas. A three-night Christmas break from 23 - 26 December costs from £1,990 per room and includes a bottle of Champagne on arrival, half board accommodation, afternoon tea on Christmas Eve, five-course traditional Christmas lunch in The Dining Room on Christmas Day, afternoon cinema on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and full use of the spa facilities.

For New Year, take a three-night New Year Celebration from 29 December - 1 January, costing from £1,900 per room, to include Champagne on arrival plus a whole range of festive dinners and treats, from live entertainment to films in the private cinema. For New Year's Eve, enjoy a six-course Gala Dinner in The Dining Room and live jazz to welcome in 2009.

Love is in the air at Whatley Manor throughout February
At Whatley Manor couples can celebrate Valentines throughout the month of February with a romance filled two-night break starting with a chilled bottle of Deutz Rosé and chocolate fondue for two in their room on arrival. The Valentines package also includes a sixty-minute spa treatment each and a three-course dinner in the cosy Le Mazot brasserie on one evening of their stay. A two-night mid-week Valentine's break costs from £777 per room. Rates include full English breakfast and use of the spa facilities.
For lovers looking to celebrate St Valentine's night on Saturday 14th February, Whatley Manor is offering two wonderfully romantic dining options. The Lover's Tasting Menu in The Dining Room costs £85 per person and the Valentine's three-course table d’hôte menu in Le Mazot costs £45 per person.

Mothering Sunday 22nd March
Treat your mother to a delicious lunch in Le Mazot, followed by a relaxing spring walk through Whatley Manor's English country gardens and a special gift from spa Aquarius. The three-course lunch costs £36 per person. For an extra special treat, Mothering Sunday room rates start from £185 per room.

Easter Indulgence at Whatley Manor
This Easter enjoy Whatley Manor's Michelin-star dining, award winning spa and beautiful spring gardens with a three-night break from 9th - 13th April from £1,020. Rates include full English breakfast, use of the spa facilities, a homemade Easter egg and gift from Whatley Manor's garden. Extend the Easter break to four nights from £1,310 and enjoy a complimentary gift voucher for a sixty-minute luxurious spa treatment to be redeemed during your stay or on your next visit.

A one night stay at Whatley Manor costs from £290 for a standard room including bed and breakfast and 10% discretionary service charge and VAT, plus use of the award winning spa Aquarias. For guests attending any of the events a special events rate of £185 is valid until 30th June or £190 per standard room from 1stJuly, subject to availability
