The nation of shopkeepers loves its Christmas markets

Czech Travel, who specialise in city breaks to Prague, Krakow, Budapest, Bratislava and northern Slovakia, report a significant increase in the number of British guests booking Christmas Market short breaks this winter. MD Martin Harlow said “Sales are 50% up on last year, new destinations like Bratislava are particularly popular, though demand for Prague and Krakow is as strong as ever, as are two centre trips and city / spa breaks”.
Destinations such as Slovakia have really increased in popularity with the British this year as new flying routes from Sky Europe open up the country. At the same time, well known cities such as Prague and Krakow have seen an upsurge in popularity during 2006”.
