Colwyn Bay will be introducing the first real-ice rink in North Wales this winter, to add to the usual festive celebrations in Swansea and Cardiff.Colwyn Bay Christmas Cracker, 8 December – 6 January
Colwyn Bay will be offering visitors a continental experience this winter at the town’s first Christmas Cracker event, with the first real-ice rink of its kind in North Wales, the biggest Santa decoration in North Wales, authentic wooden chalets selling extra special Christmas gifts and real Christmas trees. Unusually, the open-air ice rink is available for private hire, with room for up to sixty skaters at a time.

Cardiff’s Winter Wonderland, 15 November – 6 January
Attractions at the 2007 Cardiff Winter Wonderland will once again focus around the open-air ice rink designed for those aged 3 and up. Other features will include an ice café bar, a heated terrace overlooking the rink, a traditional children's carousel and a big wheel.

Waterfront Wonderland, Swansea, 18 November – 6 January
Father Christmas will kick off the festive celebrations in Wales’ second city on 18 November, parading through the city centre at 5pm and illuminating the Christmas lights en-route. The grounds outside the National Waterfront Museum will be transformed into the annual Waterfront Winterland with an open-air ice rink, as well as traditional fairground rides such as a big wheel, a helter-skelter and a carousel.
