Step back to 1066 and explore Pevensey Castle just 8 miles from Eastbourne, or take a trip to Herstmonceux Castle and check out its magnificent moat and Science Observatory. Set in stunning parkland and charming Elizabethan gardens, it’s well worth a visit on a fresh winter’s day.
