Miles & More extended to Zurich Connect

SWISS has teamed up with direct insurer Zurich Connect to offers its Miles & More members an attractive new mileage-earning opportunity: any member concluding a motor vehicle insurance policy with Zurich Connect will now earn 5000 award miles.

Zurich Connect, which is Switzerland’s leading direct insurer and SWISS, the country’s national airline, have teamed up to make the Miles & More frequent flyer programme even more appealing. Any Miles & More member obtaining their motor vehicle insurance from Zurich Connect will not only benefit from attractively low premiums and quality service and support; they will also earn 5000 award miles.

“We’re delighted to extend our Miles & More programme to Zurich Connect,” says Urs W. Eberhard, Head of Partnership Marketing at SWISS. “And we’re convinced that this new agreement is a meaningful addition to our frequent flyer programme that makes it even more attractive to its members.”

The agreement breaks new ground in Switzerland for both Miles & More and Zurich. “This new project is extremely interesting for Zurich Connect,” explains Yvonne Lang Ketterer, Head of Direct & Distribution Partners at Zurich Switzerland. “Miles & More members are very quality and price-minded, and tend to be keen internet users, too. And that makes them ideal direct-insurance customers.”

The partners intend to expand their collaboration in 2008 when, in addition to motor vehicle insurance, they plan to offer mileage-earning opportunities on other insurance products.

Zurich Switzerland is responsible for the Zurich Financial Services Group’s private and corporate customers in the Swiss and Liechtenstein markets. The company is one of Switzerland’s biggest insurers, and trades under the Zurich and Zurich Connect names.
