SWISS to adjust its fares in January

SWISS is to raise its fares by an average of two to three per cent next year. The action, which is being taken in view of rising costs, will apply to all tickets issued in Switzerland from January 4, 2008 onwards. The new provisions will not apply to any tickets issued before this date.

For the present, fuel surcharges will remain at their current levels. SWISS continues to monitor oil prices carefully, and any further adjustments to the present fuel surcharges will depend on future oil price trends on the commodities markets. SWISS last adjusted its fuel surcharges at the end of September.
