SWISS makes further ticket price reductions

16th January 2009 Print
SWISS is making a further substantial reduction in its present fuel surcharges. While the fuel markets remain highly volatile and general global uncertainty makes further developments here unclear, the prices of crude oil and jet fuel have seen further declines over the past few weeks, prompting these latest reductions.

The fuel surcharge for SWISS long-haul flights is being reduced by CHF 30 to CHF 114 per sector, while the fuel surcharge for European SWISS services (plus those to Cairo and Tel Aviv) is being cut by CHF 7 to CHF 29 per sector. The new surcharges will apply to all tickets for travel from Switzerland issued on or after 13 January.
