SWISS to commence new Zurich-Oslo service

18th March 2009 Print
SWISS is to offer a twice-daily service between Zurich and Oslo from mid-June onwards. The flights will be operated using Airbus A319 equipment. With the two new frequencies and a further codeshare flight operated by Star Alliance partner SAS, SWISS customers will enjoy a wide range of services to and from Norway’s capital.

SWISS will be providing a twice-daily service between Zurich and Oslo from 19 June. The new flights will further expand the range of SWISS connections to and from Scandinavia: Oslo as a new destination in the region is joining Copenhagen and Stockholm. The new services will also offer SWISS customers from Norway a wide choice of convenient onward connections in Zurich throughout Europe and beyond. The two new frequencies will be supplemented by a daily codeshare service* operated by SAS.

“We want to take full and active advantage of market opportunities in difficult economic times, too,” says Harry Hohmeister, Chief Network & Distribution Officer at SWISS. “Norway is a major trading partner for Switzerland, and many Swiss companies have offices and operations there.”
