Flybe’s eco-label scheme highlighted at Paris Air Show
Speaking at the Paris Air Show, Flybe’s Chief Commercial Officer, Mike Rutter, said that the launch earlier this month of the airline’s eco-labelling scheme – a world first – had been exceptionally well received.“We have been overwhelmed by the level of interest shown in our scheme, and not just by our passengers.
“Other airlines have been quick to see the advantages the eco-labelling scheme can deliver.
“Meanwhile, politicians of all colours have been commenting that what we’re doing is very much the acceptable face of aviation.”
Mr Rutter was talking at a presentation hosted by Bombardier, the manufacturer of the Q400, one of the most environmentally sensitive aircraft available, of which Flybe will be the world’s largest operator.
