Flybe announces Q400 checks
As a precautionary measure, Bombardier, the manufacturer of the Q400, one of the four types of aircraft operated by Flybe, yesterday evening instructed all operators globally of this aircraft to carry out a futher limited number of specific inspections to their fleet of Q400 aircraft.For Flybe this impacts only a limited number of their fleet.
Flybe has arranged for all customers affected by the cancellations to be contacted prior to travel. If you are due to fly today they will make all efforts to re-accommodate your travel arrangements although this may not be possible for all flights.
Alternatively, those passengers who have had flights cancelled can expect a full refund of flight costs or can contact the Call Centre to rebook for an alternative date without charge.
Flybe expects the vast majority of its programme to operate normally.
Flybe expects additional minor disruption on Friday 14 September with the programme returning to normal over the weekend.
Flybe have apologised for any inconvenience caused to passengers for these events outside of their control.
Flybe advises passengers to review the website Flybe.com on a regular basis if they are flying over the next few days.
