Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, has today announced the early release of two brand new routes for Jersey as part of its Summer 2008 timetable. Available for travel from 30th March 2008 onwards, fares start at just £39.99 one way including taxes and charges for travel to Doncaster/Sheffield, and £49.99 one way including taxes and charges for flights to Aberdeen.

* Jersey to Doncaster/Sheffield

Fares from £39.99 one way including taxes and charges

* Jersey to Aberdeen
Flights operates Saturdays from 30th March 2008

This latest announcement will provide Islanders with even more choice for reliable, low-cost services from their doorstep next summer and both new routes will be popular with business and leisure travellers alike. The two new services follow hot on the heels of an already popular increase in daily weekday flights from the island to London Gatwick from September and upping services to Newcastle to four times weekly in direct response to consumer demand.

In addition, Flybe also operate one of its brand new 118-seat Embraer 195 jet aircraft on the London Gatwick to Jersey route that was introduced onto the route last month at the start of the Winter 2008 programme.

Mike Rutter, Chief Commercial Officer, Flybe comments:

“The new routes we are introducing to Jersey reflect our continued commitment to the Island and to promoting the growth of regional air travel.

As Europe’s largest regional airline and the largest scheduled airline operating in the Channel Islands, we have continued to indicate our firm commitment to serving the people of Jersey.

We will continue to explore all possibilities for expanding our services, anticipating the needs of the travelling public and adapting and enhancing our services in response to what our customers want.”
